In this level you will build on taking accurate measurements, pattern adjustments, and working with sheer fabrics. Level 3 garment is packed with techniques to help the intermediate sewer advance. Learn an array of new techniques such as how to sew shoulder seams, apply a collar to a neckline, and construct neck and front facings. You are also instructed on how to fit a sleeve cap, hem plain or ruffles sleeves, how to apply front closures, sew patch products, and hem your finished garment. Do you want to learn how to add a few decorative touches to your garment. Level 3 will teach you how to make simple round collars with inserted lace, apply lace edging to a collar, and gather ruffles, Or, add extra special detailing with French seams, hand rolled hems, and SO MUCH MORE. Whether you are sewing a basic garment or adding a little creative interest, Level 3 has something for you. The class consist of 4 sessions, and if a class is missed and a makeup session is required; there will be an additional cost of $36.50 for each makeup class session. This class is for an individual who have purchase a sewing machine and are having difficulty learning how to operate their machine. The class will consist of basic sewing machine operation utilizing their manual to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, setting tension.

This embroidery class will focusing on basic embroidery skills for the beginner. Individuals will learn the basics of stabilizers, the correct stabilizers for projects and different fabrics, different stitches when it comes to embroidering, and how to hoop fabrics. At the end of this class, each student will leave with a finished project. Each student is required to simply sewing center at simplysewingcenter@gmail.com the kind of sewing machine they have to ensure embroidery file project has the right extension file to complete project.

This class will be held the first Monday in each month starting January 4 2021 through December 6 2021. Each class can be purchase separately or all at once. In this class, students will learn the basics of Electric Quilt. Students will learn to use drawing tools, Electric Quilt libraries, Block worktable, and Quilt worktable. Students will set blocks in a quilt layout, add borders, audition fabrics along with uploading own fabric. EQ8 Software is needed in order to take the class along with the EQ8 Lesson Book. When paying for the class and at the Checkout, a link will be displayed that will guide you to purchase the EQ8 Software and EQ8 Lesson Book and additional books for purchase. Join us for an exciting two day class via Zoom. We will be making The Friendship Gathering Quilt designed and taught by Jennifer Morris. The class consists of instruction on creating blocks from Charm Squares. Each block is pieced the same way using the same color background fabric with 85 mulit-colored African Fabric. Each block center has an embridery of your choosing and can be customized to include pictures or other designs. Include in the instruction is information on making the 60X60 throw and Queen/King 100X100. In this class, the focus will be on making the 60X60 throw. You may use fabrics that you have or you may purchase the Friendship Gathering Quilt Kit via web or in the store from Simply Sewing Center. Instructions for class will be email upon payment of class.

You are ready for one of the most popular sewn garments, pants. Learn everything you have ever wanted to know about pants construction. Level 5 is packed with hints and techniques. Learn all about layouts and the special sewing and handling of napped fabrics. Learn all alteration possibilities for a perfect pant fit. All shown and covered in detail. Also learn some new seam constructions which are especially designed for pants. Learn how to construct lapped and invisible zippers, pockets, belt carriers, cuffs, eyelets, and SO MUCH MORE. If you want to learn how to construct pants and have them fit well, Level 5 is for you.

In level four, you will learn how to sew a stylish jumper pattern. Also, each student will learn how to identify different types of stripes, plaids and the special features associated with them. Learn how to easily lay out the pattern so that your plaids and stripes match at the seam lines. Learn how to use the tape or pin method to construct your garment. Level 4 is packed with special considerations when working with darts, pleats and gathers with the stripes or plaids in your fabric. Learn about stitching elastic, matching plaid patch pockets to the pattern in your garment, making your own bias tape or piping and so much more.

Open sewing day is for sewers who have a project that they maybe having problems completing and want to spend that day with other sewers to get it completed. There will be no instructor for the open sew, just fellow sewers who will collaborate and assist each other to get their projects finished. Open sewing day will be the third Tuesday of each month from 11am to 6pm .
