Open sewing day is for sewers who have a project that they maybe having problems completing and want to spend that day with other sewers to get it completed. There will be no instructor for the open sew, just fellow sewers who will collaborate and assist each other to get their projects finished. Open sewing day will be the third Tuesday of each month from 11am to 6pm .

Basic Sewing - Level 1 (January 15, 16, 20 & 21 2021) (SPECIAL)

Start right off and learn to sew the correct way. If you have no sewing experience or need a refresher, then this is the level for you! It is a comprehensive guide for beginning sewers. Level 1 starts at the very beginning with buying your first sewing supplies and ends with the finishing touches on your garment. Your first project is a simple skirt. You will learn how to select fabric, read a pattern envelope, layout the pattern and fabric, and how to cut and mark your pattern. You will also learn how to interpret the pattern directions and sew each piece together and SO MUCH MORE. You won?t believe how easy it is to learn how to sew with Level 1

Basic Sewing Level 2 (January 13, 15, 18 & 20 2021) 10:00am - 12:30pm

If you have beginning sewing experience, Level 2 will build on the skills you already possess and will teach you a variety of new techniques. In Level 2, you will learn the skills you need to make a skirt. This includes how to insert and construct a zipper, waistband, slits, darts, and pleats, all shown in detail. Plus, learn basic fitting techniques. (8.hrs)
