Intermediate Sewing - Level 4 ( May 13 & May 16 2022) 10:00am - 2:00pm (Fayetteville, GA)

In level four, you will learn how to sew a stylish jumper pattern. Also, each student will learn how to identify different types of stripes, plaids and the special features associated with them. Learn how to easily lay out the pattern so that your plaids and stripes match at the seam lines. Learn how to use the tape or pin method to construct your garment. Level 4 is packed with special considerations when working with darts, pleats and gathers with the stripes or plaids in your fabric. Learn about stitching elastic, matching plaid patch pockets to the pattern in your garment, making your own bias tape or piping and so much more. The class consist of 2 sessions, and if a class is missed and a makeup session is required; there will be an additional cost of $45.00 for each makeup class session. If an individual does not have a sewing machine, one can be rented at the cost of $10.00 per class session. Classes are located at Joann's at 250 Pavilion Parkway, Fayetteville, GA 30214

Basic Machine Operation (December 2021 - December 2022) 1:00 - 3:00pm

This class is for an individual who have purchase a sewing machine and are having difficulty learning how to operate their machine. The class will consist of basic sewing machine operation utilizing their manual to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, setting tension. Individual must bring their sewing machine/Serger along with thread and fabric.

Basic Sewing - Level 1 (May 18 & May 20, 2022 ) 10am -2:00pm (Fayetteville)

Start right off and learn to sew the correct way. If you have no sewing experience or need a refresher, then this is the level for you! It is a comprehensive guide for beginning sewers. Level 1 starts at the very beginning with buying your first sewing supplies and ends with the finishing touches on your garment. Your first project is a simple skirt. You will learn how to select fabric, read a pattern envelope, layout the pattern and fabric, and how to cut and mark your pattern. You will also learn how to interpret the pattern directions and sew each piece together and SO MUCH MORE.
